Kids In a New Groove
Through a partnership with Will Taylor and Strings Attached and other local musicians, Kids In A New Groove is able to raise thousands of dollars each year to help fund music lessons for children in foster care.
The Strings Attached classic rock series donates a percentage of the proceeds fom each show to the KING cause. The series helps to bring awareness to the cause and gives KING access to crowds of people that understand how music can change a person's life. Whether it be helping you to relax after a long stressful week at work, or giving foster kids a therapeutic and fun activity, there is no question that music heals.

Dear Will,
Thanks so much for your generous donation for Kids in a Groove's Music for the Soul Gala held November 18. The Will Taylor/Treaty Oak rum backyard party went for $2,500! Your auction donation will help our program grow by funding important music lessons for Texas youth in foster care. These lessons will bring joy to children's lives, but will also help this vulnerable population of kids improve life skills, grades, behavior, and help build a solid foundation for success. We couldn't have done it without you! The purchaser of the Will Taylor party was Jana and Barry Bandera. Thanks again Will for being a big part of our event. The KING Program
"Our life changing program seeks to change the grim statistics on youth in foster care. More than 20% of foster youth end up homeless and on the streets, and many more will be incarcerated within the first 2 years of leaving the system. Only 2% of former foster youth will go on to graduate from college. At Kids in a New Groove, we have found that music mentorship can change these odds. Many of our graduating seniors go on to college, while other students in our program have made life-changing improvements in spite of being transferred between many different foster placements and group homes." - kidsinanewgroove.org
